Infinity Sports Management are delighted to announce 16-year-old Hunter Yeany will join Campos Racing to contest the 2022 FIA Formula 3 Championship.
American rising star Hunter Yeany joins Campos Racing for his first full season on the European motorsport scene, following huge success in his home country where he claimed the championship title in the Formula 4 United States Championship. Scoring 7 wins and 14 podiums from 15 races, he was the youngest driver of the US F4 series to have ever won the title.
The American-born driver carried out testing at the end of 2021 with his new team and also made two appearances in the FIA Formula 3 Championship at Spa-Francorchamps and Zandvoort last season. The 2022 FIA Formula 3 Championship kick starts with a three day official test in Sakhir on 2-4 March, with the first race taking place 18-20 March in Bahrain.
Adrián Campos (Campos Racing, Sporting Director) commented:
“I should like to extend a warm welcome aboard to another young driver as Hunter. Probably alongside Pepe (Marti) they are the youngest drivers in the field but we perfectly know how talented he is. We will do our utmost to help him quickly improve in such competitive racing series and we are sure Hunter will reach his full potential.”
Hunter Yeany said:
“I’m really excited to announce that I’ll be doing the full season of FIA F3 with Campos Racing. I would like to thank Campos Racing for the opportunity and my family and friends for their support.”
Harry Soden (Director of Infinity Sports Management) added:
“This is a great opportunity for Hunter to join an experienced and strong team, such as Campos Racing. He has shown his winning ability over in America and he is ready for the challenge of the FIA F3 Championship. This is an exciting year for Hunter and we know he will rise to the challenge.”
